St Johns College Boat Club

St John’s College Boat Club (SJCBC), founded in 1910, is among one of the oldest boat clubs in Durham. Our boat house is located on our college site along the banks of the River Wear and we also have a well-equipped gym for land training. We welcome rowers and coxes of all athletic ability and experience to join our team!

We have both strong novice and senior programmes, and are open to all abilities. The senior squad regularly competes competitively at races all over the country and has success, such as winning at Durham Regatta 2025.
