St Chad’s College Boat Club

St Chad’s College Boat Club is a small but dedicated club with a strong sense of community and a long-standing tradition in college rowing. Founded in 1906, we welcome rowers and coxes of all experience levels, from total beginners to seasoned oarsmen. While we may be one of the smaller clubs, our crews regularly perform well against much larger colleges.

Our boathouse hosts a growing fleet of modern lightweight racing shells alongside a few historic boats that have been part of SCCBC for decades. Off the river, the club has a lively social side, with the annual Winter Ball as a highlight of the rowing calendar. Whether you’re here to race, learn something new, or be part of a close-knit team, SCCBC is a central and welcoming part of life at Chad’s.
