Novice Cup

Novice Cup is the first race that Durham College novice rowers will compete in. Held over two days it combines head and regatta racing to introduce them to the fun racing can be. Saturday is an omnium-style head race where novices need to demonstrate the skills that they have learnt such as stopping on command and a 360° turn. Sunday takes place as a  regatta where crews will be pitted against each other before the results from both days are combined to crown an ultimate winner.

Novice Cup will continue again in 2025! Watch this space for the new date when it is announced. Information will be posted in due course:
