Senate Cup

The intercollegiate trophy for Mens and Womens 1st Coxed IVs. It is likely the oldest trophy still annually competed for within the university and was proceeded by a similar intercollegiate event from the foundation of HCBC in 1850.

Senate Cup is the first race of the DCR calendar, and allows crews to compete side-by-side over 700m on the racecourse. It is primarily aimed at the top senior crews from each college boat club and progresses in a traditional regatta knock-out format to find a winner. It’s a good chance for crews to size up the competition they will be facing over the coming academic year.
